We were inspired by Dutch duo 4x4electric who are traveling from the Netherlands to South Africa and back to promote sustainable and conscious living. Halfway through their journey they stopped to charge their EV at Rubicon HQ in Cape Town. Their innovative charging technology uses a direct DC system, without a battery, resulting in 20% less energy loss. They keep 60 solar panels with them, which generate 180W of clean energy. We loved exchanging stories and even sponsored an Ecoflow Delta to power their fridge and induction stove for the next half of their journey!
